Printing Defaults for Konica Minolta C450

We have a Konica Minolta setup on our Windows 2003 print server. The printer is directly attached to the network.
We have a requirement for setting the default settings of the printer to duplex/double sided printing. Making this change on the print server does not make any difference to the users who are set up to use this printer.
This sort of change has always worked for HP printers and I was would like to know if anyone has had similar issues in changing default settings on Konica Minolta C450s or similar models, and if there is a work around?

Have you done the changes under "Advanced" tab "Printing Defaults" on the server print queue?
If this print queue has been connected to a client before those local settings might still be overriding the Printing Defaults on the server.
