How do I configure ArcServe r12.0 to email me on completeion of Backup?

I'm new to ArcServe and I want to configure it so that it will email me when it completes a backup. I would like the body of the email to contain the following details:
Success/Failure of Backup
Start and Finish time.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

You can configure alerts

To create SMTP item
Go to Alert admin from under Quick Start-> Provide your credentials -> Expand 'Default' -> Right Click 'SMTP' -> New Item -> Specify the recipient address and the mail server address. Now close the alert admin

To configure your job to use SMTP Item
Go to Job Status - > Modify your job -> Go to global options -> Alert Tab -> Click on configure -> and select the SMTP item thatt you have created -> Click ok -> Also select to attach job log.

Now you need to configure for which result you should get the alert email for. Select and add in to rules that 'When Backup fails', when backup completes', when backup is canceled', When backup is incomplete'.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks ashwin_kumar525,
That has been a huge help to me!
I haven't tested the mail notifications yet to see if it's working (because the server doesn't have an internet connection yet), but you've taught me a lot about ArcServe.
My server doesn't have an email a/c on it so I am unable to see how Arcserve can send email notifications. I assume that i should set up SMTP (outgoing mail server) somewhere, but where? (in arcserve, or set up an outlook express mail box?)
Any server with SMTP enabled will do. In fact you are providing an SMTP server address while configuring the SMTP Alert Item.

The mail will flow thru the SMTP server to the recipient address that you have specified in the Alert.
