Can open Outlook Attachments

We have an Outlook client that today began displaying the following message when trying to open a PDF attachment;  "Can't save the attachment.  Can't create the file:CONFIRM.PDF".  Right-clickthe folder you want to create the file in, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder.  
The odd thing is, there is nothing at all wrong with the email or pdf attachment because i forwarded the email to myself at helpdesk and it opened normally.  The other strange this is; This type of email we get 50 times a day. from sereral differnt sources.  They all name the pdf file confirm.pdf or confirmx.pdf. This particular user, the one having  the issue, can open up any other pdf file attachment from any other source.  Just not this source. As I said, I forwared it to my desk and opened it without issue.

GuruGary: I am going to check this out.  The user isnt in today and my helpdesk is backlogged with other issues that I have to handle first.  Monday AM, or over the weekend I will try your suggestion. I have done some preliminary research and it seems a sound and reasonable resolve to this problem.
