Sage Instant Accounts Data Location

A friend uses sage to manage his accounts and has had a hard drive failure and the last backup he done was a year ago.

Now I can get access to the hard drive for around 5-10 minutes at a time until it dies again.

Does anyone know which folder stores all the data? I was hoping to pull it off the drive and overwrite the new install on the new hard drive.

Would this work?

The default install path is

C:\Program Files\Sage\Instant Accounts\

with the default data location as:

C:\Program Files\Sage\Instant Accounts\ACCDATA

If you are able to get all the data from that folder then yes, an overwrite should give you access to the data.
However, even if one file does not get copied (or is corrupted) you could well end up with total corruption.

Also - you may need bespoke reports and/or layouts.
These are usually in
C:\Program Files\Sage\Instant Accounts\REPORTS
C:\Program Files\Sage\Instant Accounts\Layouts
