MSN Messenger port

Hi

Does anyone know what port MSN Messenger uses? Is it port 80?

MSN will probably need ports 443 and 1863 to be open

The above ports are listed for msn messenger at portforward.com and are for all functionality i suppose. it doesnt give a breakdown of what ports are used for what, but i think 6891-6900 are for file transfer.

I heard somewhere that MSN Messenger uses Port 80 - so I assume this was incorrect? I'm not sure how it could have used 80 to be honest, it doesn't make any sense....could someone confirm whether 80 is one of them or not?

80 is webserving so i dont think it uses 80 at all

There is a windows live web chat that you can sign into as part of there webservice.  So im thinking port 80 can be used for chat.  No client need to be installed.
