Back-up exec not recognizing RD1000

We have switched from BUE to Acronis for our preferrd backup software. There is data on the old Dell RD1000 back-up disk that did not get migrated over to the new server. I have installed BUE 11.0 on the server but it is not recognizing the RD1000 drive(USB). I can see the drive and navigate through all the backup files through windows but when I start back up exec there are no devices shown or back-up jobs showing as being present to restore from.

Thanks in advance for any help.

you will need to configure a Removable backup to disk folder in order for it to work with BEWS (Backup Exec for Windows Servers)
