Apologise, but you will need a digital signature to attach to your program.

if you google, digital signatures add visual studio.

you may find your answer that way.

Does it has to be a certificate signed by a trusted authority?

Jaymz_r is correct.  You will need a digital cert to sign the install file.    You can get this from verisign or other trusted Certificate Authorities.  Once you get the certificate, you would use Signcode.exe or some other app to sign the build.  This should resolve the issue of the publisher message.

choose the top one i believe.  Possibly email verisign and let them know of your plans.
