adding second farm on separate app pool to sharepoint - MOSS

We have an existing server which already has a MOSS portal website installed using default port 80.
Now we have another standalone website which we need to restore as a separate application pool.

When we tried to restore using central admin we get the errors as below:

Also a website application pool was created for our main site but no other sites (should be around half dozen additional app pool sites), and we can't delete it.
Any ideas how we can correct this?

thanks that worked a charm
actually - we found a problem that I can't seem to find has happened anywhere else on net..
there is a "missing" very basic page which was saved as .aspx page not appearing the the /Pages/ directory with eveything else that was there in our source directory..
When we try to to import, then paste the page into the /Pages/ directory we get the following popup:
[a file with the name, Pages/dropdowns.aspx, already exists. Do you want ot replace this with your file?]
When we select yes we get this message:
[Server error: The file "\Pages\dropdowns.aspx" is checked out or locked for editing by .]
(note there it no username after editing by )
Do you have SharePoint Designer?  Perhaps the page is marked as hidden and can be unhidden with Designer
yes that error was from SPD - cannot see any pages greyed out in pages dir.. Is there any other way to show hidden pages?
I think the problem is more buggy as the page wasn't hidden in the original directory..
thanks.. Also I created a new question for this here: https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/24174621/cannot-see-file-in-Pages-directory-in-SPDesigner-but-cannot-replace-it-either.html
