Cisco 2651 Router / VIC-2FXO Added, but not working?
I trying to install VIC2-FXO-EU to my cisco 2651 32/128M router but it doesn't work, i believe im using the correct IOS, when the router powers up the cards clearly seem to power up and link light on them but it shows this error:
Slot is empty or does not support clock participate
WIC slot is empty or does not support clock participate VIC2-FXO
however the card doesn't show up in the show ver command neither in the show inventory nor the sh diag which I provided them below.
now is the card faulty?

ah and note that for this router you will also need one of the carrier modules
oops ignore what i said previously except the link :)
just look at the link
2600 series is supported through using a carrier module NM-1V and NM-2V are you having this ?
i have checked cisco and you;d need to have the IOS 12.3(17c) or the latest 12.3(26) to support this

no I don't have NM-1v nor the NM-2V, I thought I would be fine if I used one of the two available slots.
I also have 2611XM and 1721, can this card be used with these routers?

It will work in the 2611XM but you'll need a NM-1V module
Heres the supported platforms guide
