error when trying to unistall Adobe Reader 8
The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.

(I am not running in safe mode)

Hi

Sounds like a corrupt installation, the simplest solution is to remove the application manually.

please follow the steps in this kb:
http://www.adobe.com/go/kb400769

You need to be logged in as Admin to do this and the process is very thorough, but it will remove 8 for you.
