Hi Experts,

WARNING: SUPER_NEWBIE question to follow:

Okay, I've created a web-site in Visual Studio 2008 and pounded on it pretty good. Now I want a couple of key users to be able to bring it up and do some testing with it. They don't have Visual Studio on their desktops. How do I deploy it to them in order to let them run it so they can do some testing?

You can deploy in internet in a specific folder like
Since no one else knows it, only those users will test it.

Okay, here comes the next stupid question:

How do I do what you're saying to do.

I know how to copy the files to a remote site. How would I deploy to the internet?

In your project you can select Build menu and choose Publish Web site.
Then you indicate the location you want.

    Accepted Solution

I had to have my intranet system administrator create a subdirectoryfor me on the web server, then I copied my files to that subdirectory using the copy website utility within Visual Studio.
