Outlook Calendar appointments span from date of creation to end date.

Have an odd problem with outlook calendar. As an example, today is 2/20/09. If i create an appointment on 2/27/09 that both starts and stops on that day, outlook will block the appointment off from 2/20/09 through 2/27/09. no matter how it's created (right-clicking on the day, or through the menu options). No matter which day you try to put the appt. on, it originally shows the start/stop days as the current date. If i create an appointment in may.. it blocks from 2/20/09 through may. it's not computer specific as the user has shown me this happens on 3 different computers she has logged into (with which one of them had a fresh load on). running on exchange, and she seems to be the only person, or we haven't had any other users mention this.

I have seen this with Thridparty addins installed and running along with Outlook. Try doing the following to fix and reproduce the resutls:

1. Try Running outlook in SafeMode - Start>Run>Type:  outlook.exe /safe
If Outlook works as expected, then it could be third-party addins.  Outlook 2007 is very fickle about what addins it plays nice with.

2. Disable or even Remove Outlook Addins could be interfering.
   COM Add-in:
In Outlook 2003, Go to Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options > Addin Manager or COMM/Addins and disable the addins.
In Outlook 2007, Go to Tools > TrustCenter > Addins > Click GO on COM Add-ins and start by disabling all of the addins.
Close and Reopen Outlook to test the results.

   Exchange Client Extensions:
In Outlook 2007, Go to Tools > TrustCenter > Addins > Click the drop down and select Exchange Client Extensions and click GO and start by                   disabling all non-Microsoft Extensions.
Close and Reopen Outlook to test the results.

*If Outlook then performs well re-enable the addins one by one and test it until you find the culprit.

no luck. forgot to mention we are using 2003 on xp sp2. tried safe mode, still happens. tried disabling all add-in's (there were 4 by outlook), no luck.
Ouch - I haven't t-shot Outlook XP in a while.

I think I would remove all profiles ( if possible ) and uninstall OfficeXP, rename the DIR it was in and Reinstall OfficeXP into a clean DIR.

... If it were me. :)

no it happens on 3 seperate machines. and only her. all three systems have the same corporate image that we have on all machines.
When you look at those meeting events in OWA, do they show up corrupted and Incorrect?
Can her mailbox be opened up on any machine properly? Have you tried a basic OS install with jsut Outlook, no AV or anything else?

Does it work there? if not, I would move her mailbox within exchange to a different storage group/DB.
The move process usually fixes corrupted issues within the Calendar.

okay, tried a new fresh OS load, same problem. something peculiar is that through the web outlook interface it doesn't happen when you create the appointment, but when we switch over to outlook itself it happens. will work on the mailbox move
