Multiple SQL instances on same server

We have a full blown 2005 SQL server that runs an important database for ACCPAC.  We were looking at deploying Endpoint management console on this server due to the low headroom req'd for the application but our environment has about 250 users.  I know there is an embedded database you can install for Endpoint but this is only recommended for under 100 users.  I was thinking of installing a SQL express instance on the server for the database but want to make sure it wont cause any issues with the existing instance.  Unfortunately at this time this is the only server that fits for the endpoint management console.  This server currently runs System Center Console for SAV 10 and is also a Media server for Backup Exec.  There is a SQL instance installed for Backup Exec on this server as well.

Does anyone see an issue with this?  I just want to be sure as I do not consider myself to be a SQL expert by any means.

Thanks for the clarification.  Unfortunately others whom I work with disagree with this, however I agree fully and cannot see why it would matter.
