Can you suggest me a tool which can be installed on my shared hosting server to enable users to remotely backup their MsSQL 2005 databases. I know of one tool available at but this seems costly for me.

Can you suggest me a cheaper but reliable alternative ?

Do you have remote access to the SQL server?   If so you may be able to add a backup job that would backup the SQL databases into .BAK files in the user's web folder.  They could then download the files from there via FTP.
