Hi - i have been trying to install a gallery called dfgallery on one of my sites. I have succesfully got it to work on xampp (localhost0 but on my webserver i get the following;
Not all requirements of DfGallery have been met.

Required Extensions

 curl is loaded.
  json is loaded.

Files that need to exist

 /.htaccess exists.
  /app/config/dfg/upgrade_state.php exists.

Check for writable files and directories

 /resources/cache/ is writable.
  /resources/images/original/ is writable.
  /resources/images/large/ is writable.
  /resources/images/thumbnail/ is writable.
  /app/config/dfg/upgrade_state.php is writable.

Invalid cURL response.
We expected 'true' from the url : http://www.a-bweddingcars.co.uk/api/rest/test_curl

Database Config is writable.
It is alting because of the cURL error (not that i even know what cURL is!) - i have checked the site that supports this for the numerous threads relating to this infuriating error and i cannot find a solution. I rang my web host tio ask them if Apached Mod_Rewrite was turned on and they confirmed it was. I have also been getting strange 403 - forbidden errors if i change the chmod to 777. Can anyone help - i am on the verge of a breakdown with this one !!!! :0

Most likely cURL is not installed or configured on your webserver. You can check that it is enabled by putting the code below into a file- uploading to your server and then type in the url of this page in your browser.

If you have access to the server you can do this - most likely you will have to get your hosting provider to do it.

1) Locate the following files:
\apache\bin\php.ini
  \php\php.ini
  \php\php4\php.ini
2) Uncomment the following line on your php.ini file by removing the semicolon.
;extension=php_curl.dll
3) Restart your apache server.
4) Check your phpinfo if curl was properly enabled.

<?php

// Show all information, defaults to INFO_ALL
phpinfo();

?>

Open in new window

unfortunatley i cannot restart the apache server as I have a reseller account and i have no control over the server. I have now abandoned this as it was doing my swede in.
