Hi,
Office 2007 applications on Vista operating system cannot remember change of behaviour of Save As system dialog.

On Vista system Save As dialog on bottom have option/switch "Hide Folders"/"Browse Folders".
On most application it was remembered how its used last time by user.

Only in Office 2007 (eg. Word, Excel) it is still opening with folders view no matter how user use it before.

Is it possible to force different behavior ?

p.s.
It must be possible because one of my user hide folders permanently and cannot revert to browse folders other way then clicking every time when he open the Save As dialog.

thx in advance for any tip

Hello

Usually this option can be seen in Tools menu, Options,  General.
Select Location to save us.

If you can't see it, explore the Tools menu, Options.   It is there.

Hi rionroc,

Where you see any Tools Menu in Word 2007 or Excel 2007 ?

And I have no problem with location of file saving but with "Save As" dialog box visual part.

Hello,

again - I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH FILES LOCATION !!!

I have a problem with Save As dialog box visual experience.

I add screenshots of two different views.

(pls note its from polish version so

Ukryj Foldery means Hide Folders

Przegladaj Foldery means Browse Folders)

What I want - is to control this behavior. In any other application last form aof this dialog is remembered except Office.

Other option: if you want to view hidden folders by user: you can go to windows explorer, tools menu, options, view tab, then select: show hidden files and folders, uncheck: Hide protected operating system files.  And after viewing hidden folders, you can go back and change it to the default option.

See you!

So after resizing Save As.. dialog box to normal size users has dialog box with folders.
