No SATA on this, so you would have to use a PCI sata controller. OK for data but will cause nothing but grief if you use it for the OS. If you have a SATA drive you can use an adapter to connect it to an IDE port. Will work fine then. Ritmo and others do suitable adapters.

i would just use an ide drive on this board - no use in making things complex...
