logitech vx nano mouse not working on 1 particular machine

I have this Logitech VX Nano (2007) version and it currently stopped working. I tried it on my desktop and it worked perfectly.
I have tried uninstall the driver and reinstall it, no effect;
uninstalled Logitech setpoint and reinstalled, no help.

What can I do????

and also, I tried the reconnecting method already:

http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=9792

it says it's connected and should be working but it's still not working

vip2000,

I found a few forums discussing issues with this mouse-  One thing in common was they were able to use the basic mouse functions when the SetPoint software was not installed.  Are you able to do the same?

In one case the user was able to resolve their issue after Logitech directed them to this FAQ:
http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=8123
