Exchange Server can't see domain controller / Can't set up Outlook connection Exchange Server is unavailable.

From my computer outlook is working fine as with other computers on the network but I noticed that there is a problem setting outlook up. I deleted my outlook profile and tried to set it up again. I get this error message.

---------------------------
Microsoft Office Outlook
---------------------------
The action cannot be completed.  The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I am sure if I cannot connect from my computer to outlook that is why the blackberry server cannot. But I can ping the exchange server just fine. And computers that are already connected work fine also Email calendars etc.

When I would log into my exchange server Management Console I would get the following error.

--------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Exchange Error
--------------------------------------------------------
The following error(s) were reported while loading topology information:

get-ExchangeServer
Failed
Error:
Could not find any Domain Controller in domain mydomain.local.

Domain controller not found in the domain "mydomain.local".

get-UMServer
Failed
Error:
Could not find any Domain Controller in domain mydomain.local.

Domain controller not found in the domain "mydomain.local".

--------------------------------------------------------
OK
--------------------------------------------------------

I finally fixed that by somehow by flushing the DNS cash on the DNS server and Exchange Server, Re registering with DNS on the DNS server and Exchange Server, and Restarting the Net Logon Service on both Servers as well. I don't know which server needed this or which step worked. I did it all in one step. I no longer get that error when running the Exchange Management Console. It seems to work fine.

My users that are already connected are fine but this is urgent because I can't add new profiles or repair an existing one if I need to. Also it is causing a problem with my BlackBerry BES server. I do have one user right now who needs set up. He is using Outlook Web Access for the moment but I am not sure how long I can hold him off.

Any Ideas?

Fom what I read, this issue is with one specific PC?

If so, Can you de-join it from the Domain and Re-Add it?

Then try setting up the users Exchange Outlook Account

x-sam,

I restarted the ad topology service which also stoped just about all the other Exchange serveces because they depend on it. Then I went and started up all the others that stoped and tried it again and now all is well.

I don't understand why this worked because I rebooted the Exchange Server 4 or 5 times. This should have stopped all of the services and restarted them as well so why didn't that work?

I also restarted the exchange server after doing this and tried it again and it still works so I guess I am fixed. So thanks allot!

P.S to apache09,
No this was not on just one pc it was on any pc sorry for not mentioning that.
