Best & free mail archive package in linux?

I need best mail archive package for linux os. I need to archive all my mail using mail archive software. Any free packages?

    I would just use cp to copy files with mailboxes to some other place (directory, external drive, etc). These are just text files, so you don't need any specialized software.

    I need mailarchive package. It not a good idea for mail archive.
