ATI Radeon HD 3450: HDMI Source to DVI

I bought a new video card - Radeon HD 3450 so that I can use 2 monitors. On my card, there is a DVI-I and a HDMI port. I have connected one monitor to the DVI-I port and it works fine.
For my other DVI monitor, I connected it to a DVI-HDMI adapter and plug the HDMI part into the HDMI port of the video card. However, I cannot get any video signal or image on the 2nd monitor.
Anyone can advise?
