How to Test Wireless Headset Microsoft LifeChat ZX-6000

Got this headset, and plugged in the USB base unit, and charged the earpiece per the instructions.  Want to use this headset with Skype, which has worked well with the wired headset I've been using.  What is done to turn the earpiece on and off?  How can I test this system to make sure it is attached correctly and is operable?  When I choose Tools, Options, Audio Settings to try to configure to use this LifeChat unit, the available Microphone options are "Windows Default Device" and "SoundMAX Digital Audio".  Should there be another option for the LifeChat unit?

SImple, test both, and see if  either works.

I would suspect that Windows Default Device would be correct.

    Also check the Skype options.

    I hope this helps !
