Emails Appear only when F9 is pressed

On one of the users Lotus Notes Client no new emails are received unless he press F9 although I selected " Check for New Mail Every 5 Minutes" and the sound can be heard since the " Play a Sound " is selected .

Can any one help with this ??????????????

    It sounds like the view is corrupted possibly.

    1) Close Notes and delete the cache.ndk file in the data directory.

    See if this resolves the problem.

    If not do a replace design on the mail template.

    I suppose the user is not in the Inbox folder but in the All documents view. It is supposed to work in the Inbox (only).

    It sometimes happens that a user has multiple Inbox folders. You can try to delete one of them all using the Designer client.
