How to change XP license key in Windows XP?

There are a few machines with identical hardware configuration and OEM XP license. For testing purpose, these machines are often required to restore to certain state. To reduce the number of images (per machine), I plan to save an image for all machines. Theoretically the XP license key should be changed whenever the image is restored to any machines except the source machine.
Q#1. Any way to change/update the XP license key in such case?

Yes you can use a standard windows key finder and use the change function to change the key.  Here are a couple you can use either.

FYI

Option for changing Windows key was removed from new version of Magical Jellybean Keyfinder. If you have an older version, hang onto it.

Hi,
I think that we all know how to change the key after installation, however are you trying to change this automatically after the machine is imaged?

If so, then no.  I would get everything installed, and then deactivate windows so you can authenticate the new image when you install.

You can deactivate by following these steps:

Click on Start and then Run.

In the text box in the Run window, type regedit and click OK. This will open the Registry Editor program.

Locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder under My Computer and click on the (+) sign next the folder name to expand the folder.

Continue to expand folders until you reach the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents registry key.

Click on the WPAEvents folder.

In the results that appear in the window on the right, locate OOBETimer.

Right-click on the OOBETimer entry and choose Modify from the resulting menu.

Change at least one digit in the Value data text box and click OK. This will deactivate Windows XP.

Yes, current version of Magical Jellybean Keyfinder does not have function of change key.

Deactivate and reactivate Windows serves my purpose.

Any tools to change the Windows key easily?

The Second Link I gave you to windows key finder will do it easily.  Also, You can go to their website rather than the softpedia site but it is a little slow at times.
