Smartarray e200i SATA Transfer Speed 150 Gbps vs hp sata disk 300 Gbps

Hi Experts!
I am looking on installing a HP Proliant ML350 G5 server in a client, but the controller that cames installed is the Smartarray e200i, I saw that transfer speed for Sata in the array is 150 Gbps and the disk are capable 300 Gbps.

I think that the speed for the bus is going for a 150 Gbps maximum so if I need a 300 Gbps I  have allready the disk but I must change the controller or add another controller...

Is correct what I think?

Best Regards.

The 300Bbps disks are backward compatible and therefore they will also run with 150Gbps controllers. Some disks require you to set a jumper for that.

Hi, the question was that I need a 300 Gbps Bus, so I need a controller 300 Gbps Sata capable, the Smartarray e200i only has Sata at 150 Gbps. So I must change the controller to one capable, you know?

The disk are well recognized by the system,  I do not need to change jumpers set....thanks
