Adding an image to email signatures

CEO want to add an image to the signatures that people use, for everyone. I think it is a stupid idea and a waste of resources, not the least of which is my time setting this crap up. Adding ~50 kbs to every single email in the server seems like a really bad idea too.

I need one of two things, either;
a way to make this happen without taking much time on my part or using up any Exchange server resources
OR
some references that will prove beyond a shadow of doubt to a computer illiterate CEO that this is a dumb idea
