How to enable a desktop view in Terminal Server 2003

Hi All - I have structured a new 2003 server. I can connect through a VPN but when I connect, I am faced with a directory view rather than a desktop. Can anyone help?

    START>RUN>MSTSC> click the Options button on the dialog...
    go to EXPERIENCE tab.. and check .. DESKTOP
