IIS7 and localhost

I'm trying to to run a web site project on my local computer with vista using IIS 7 instead of the built in web server.
I created the web site in IIS but get this error message when I try to browse the web site.

HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error
The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.

Config Error Cannot read configuration file due to insufficient permissions
