Hello shopjd,

Use Fireofx addon PhProxy InBasic. The add-on re-directs your traffic through existing web proxies, acting as a protective screener between you and the internet

Hope this helps!

shopjd,

You need Firefox 3 for the latest version of PhProxy InBasic addon to work.  If you have Firefox 2, an older version of PhProxy InBasic may work.

Alternatively, you might want to try the Ultrasurf proxy: http://www.ultrareach.com
It comes with a plugin for Firefox: http://www.ultrareach.com/download_en.htm

The interesting thing about Ultrasurf is that it is supposed to work as a proxy for other internet applications as well, not only for the browser, by simply configuring them to use the IP "127.0.0.1:9666" as a proxy. I have not tested this though.

I use Tor
http://www.torproject.org/
Its comes with a firefox addon that allows you to enable your proxy by one click. Tor is widely use around the world by gov agencys and individual users
