set up storage in a network at home

Hello experts,

i am planning to setup storage in a network  at home. my basic idea is two or more system should access the storage which is on network. i am attaching  one document with my idea. please review it and tell me what are the hardware components i need to buy.

my operating system is oracle Enterprise Linux.

Or just get a GbE switch, with a GbE NAS?

It'd be alot simpler (and potentially faster than FireWire, 400mbps vs. 1000mbps)

You should get something like this:

Your proposed solution is way too complex. And is severely limited.
Quite frankly you would be much better off performance wise and financially with a Gigabit NAS.

thanks for information. could you please also suggest for storage. here i am looking for personal RAC. i don't want to go for bigger once.
