Can someone explain a little bit the usage of Netbios.<br />
1- when you rename a host name are you giving it a Netbios name?<br />
2- when you right click computer/properties/comput<wbr />er name tab, you can change the computer name there, is this netbios name? is it the same just like renaming host name?<br />
3-If Wins is not installed is Netbios &nbsp;still used? what is the difference between WINS and Netbios?<br />
4- when you ping a computer by name in a network where there is no DNS, are you using netbios to resolve name to IP?<br />
