Above suggestions do not help.
The question has been answered, with this little information in the question one can hardly be more precise.

I'm using amanda 2.6.1p1. Pls confirm whether amrecover or amrestore.
all these tutorial is saying amrecover
have you tryed ??
amrecover goes to a deeper level, by working the logs it finds out what to do to get the latest file back. For any file you tell it to get.

If you want to do bulk stuff you can use amrestore to get tar/dumps from tape and have those procesed.
Have you checked the amrestore man page????
man amrestore
In the examples section its usage is shown.
