Acer Aspire T180 DVD software is missing
Picked up a Desktop Acer Aspire T180 for repair today. It had the MS antivirus spyware that has been going around. I got rid of it using Malwarebytes and Superantispyware. But some other tech came over awhile back and formatted and reinstalled Vista Home basic. But now when she goes to play a DVD movie the software for playing it is not installed. Something about codec(sp) is missing. Where can I find the original software that came with it? Do I have to F10 to get it back. The owner has know software. It is all on her backup D: drive and she didn't make a recovery disk when she first got it.
Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreaciated.

You should be able to run the f10 system recovery which will restore the machine to its "out of the box" original state (provided the partition still exists and the tech hasn't deleted it while installing Vista Basic - my concern is in your question you mentioned they "formatted" the drive. Which may well mean they removed all the system partitions :(
