This view is obsolete and requires missing field list. Please edit and re-save the view

When calling NIFOpenCollection, for certain views I am getting the error ID which after conversion with OSLoadString is "This view is obsolete and requires missing field list.  Please edit and re-save
the view."
So, how to solve this issue? Is there any way to refresh, re-save view in program?

Can you save the view again in Domino Designer?

But you say there is no view, "it is not seen in designer" ?? How can that happen?

You are building a temporary document collection, which is not associated with a view. You can't refresh the ocllection, you just deallocate it, and run the same search again.

I've seen those documents, I know the message exists, but I fail to see the relevance of the documents in this case.

All you gave us to work on is:
- "it" is in C
- "it" uses C-API to access a Notes database
- "it" calls NIFOpenCollection, but you don't tell us why
- "it" has "certain" view, that are apparently not views
- I assume there is a navigator called MainNavigator in the database

Just one hunch: can you remove the navigator from the database (e.g. replace it by an Outline)

Hi SJEF BOSMAn,
Is it possible to Refresh Design (as File->Database->Design Refresh) using C API?
