We are looking for a quick and easy linux/bsd email server distro
prefer postfix
it needs to have integrated pop/imap support
spam/virus control a must too

it MUST have a web interface and would prefer if it could have user rights/domain control per user

what could we use?

    you could try

also Zimbra - this is not exactly distribution, but it should be easy to install anyway:

I'm afraid there is no such distribution which contains all you want out of the box (I've checked 100 distributions' descriptions on

So, choose the one you like/know the best and install for example:
    - postfix (SMTP)
    - dovecot (POP3/IMAP)
    - squirrelmail (webmail)
    - spamassassin (antispam)
    - clamav (antivirus)
    - amavisd-new (software which runs spamassassin and clamav against your emails - it can run much more of course).
