When I try to upgrade Acrobat reader 8 multilanguage with Acrobat Reader 9,  I get an error message.

    Easiest thing ot do is to remove Adove reader 8 and then download and install 9. They are free.
    Just make sure to get the correct language =)

    I suspect you cannot uninstall because of this message, hence the upgrade fails..

    First check out the MS cleanup utility it has worked for this before:

    If this fails, go through the manual remove as per this kb:

    Then reinstall Adobe 9 with admin account (local).

    I killed acrotray.exe from Acrobat Writer and I could uninstall the reader.
