How to determine the maximum memory for Apache

Hello experts,
I want to make sure my Apache server does not run out of memory. Then I want to set memory limit to a high value, like -XmX for Tomcat.
Please show me how to do that. I am running Apache 2.2 on windows.
Thanks

As far as I know, you can't do that in such way.
You can set limit by using ulimit, but this will set limits for all your users (including apache user).
To tune apache you should look at prefork/worker module and set proper values for ServerLimit, MaxClients, etc... (take a look here: http://www.devside.net/articles/apache-performance-tuning).
