what user are you logged into the Vista machine as ?
Have you tried logging into the vista machine as a different user to verify if you are able to save files to the share?
does the problem user have sufficient rights on the remote share to "write" files to it ?

did you try logging in as a different user ?
Is the 'problem user' able to write files to the share when he/she logs into a different machine?

Check both the SHARE and NTFS permissions - the default permission on a share is READ.
