Fullscreen mode not working with SWFObject in flash

My problem is this; in my AS3 movie, fullscreen toggle mode is working only on some browsers, and not in Firefox on PC.  I am implementing the flash embed using  SWFObject  2, and I have all the things like allowFullScreen = true.  On pressing the toggle fullscreen button, when it doesn't work, there is a kind of a browser "shudder" as if it is trying to go fullscreen but failing for some reason.  Also, other events happen after the button is pressed that tell me the code that should make fullscreen happen is being run.  Below is the script in the html to embed the flash.  Any idea appreciated.
<script type="text/javascript">

				var width = 500;

				var height = 300;

				var flashvars = {width:"320", height:"265", videoname:"testtitle", colour1:"", colour2:"", colour3:"", video1:"myflv.flv", autoplay:"false"}

				var params = {

  					allowfullscreen : "true",

					scale :"exactFit",

					wmode: "window"

				//swfobject.embedSWF("/myswf.swf",  "9.0.0", "files/expressInstall.swf", flashvars);

				swfobject.embedSWF("files/player.swf", "myAlternativeContent", width, height, "9.0.0", "files/expressInstall.swf",flashvars,params);

    I think that you should copy params to flashvars
