What is the Ideal config of swap file in ESX 3.5

We doubled the amount of RAM in our ESX servers to 32GB.  Should we re-visit the Host builds to allocate more to the native os?

Your ESX box should not require more than approx 384MB of RAM(if I remember correctly) to operate. The OS itself does not require alot of power to run.  I would leave it with the default configuration curing the install.

service console takes 272MB by default although 800MB is max.  I normally configure the service console for the full 800MB so that access via 3rd party apps doesn't cause any issues.
If you set  your service console memory to be 800MB ... ensure that your Swap partition is at least double that (VMWare best practice). It is best that when you setup your ESX server to configure your swap partition to be be 1600MB.
