How to delete sub folders in Public Folders in Outlook
A client wants to clean up there Public Folder list. I have full access to the Public folder and the sub folders it contains. There is a folder called Transfer, I checked my permissions and as the administrator I am the owner and have full rights. When I try to delete the file it gives me an error saying:
Unable to delete this folder. Right-click the folder, and then click Properties to check your permissions for the folder. See the folder owner or your administrator to change your permissions. Some items could not be deleted. They were either moved or already deleted, or access was denied.
I am trying to delete these by logging into the terminal server as administrator and going into Outlook and then browsing to public folders.
Anyone know why this is happening? There are a few folders they want removed other than the Transfer folder but I have no luck with those either, they don't even seem to have a delete option when I try.
I have tried logging into the main server and using Exchange System Manager to remove the folders but I cant seem to find the option to remove them. I have found them and can change all permission that way but theres not delete option.
