DHCP Error No more data is available
Hi all,
I have a weird problem on a Windows 2003 Server (STD, SP1) with DHCP.
Working actually... but on some scopes, when I try to modify some existing scope options (like 44 - WINS servers), I receive the nice error message : "No more data is available".
Nothing logged in the eventviewer. Some ideas someone ?
Thanks,
Pascal.

Is the scope activated? Do you have plenty of leases available?
Does this help ?

Scope is activated, actually working fine and 92% leases available.

Is there anything unusual in the DHCPdatabase log:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dhcp
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dhcp

No WINS installed on this server.
Very weird problem actually. Tried to delete / modify these scope options via netsh, with no success at all...

Seems I am alone to have this issue...
Today, I received same error when trying to change the server option 006 order of servers. Nothing in the logs, and nothing in Event Viewer.

Tried to delete a scope, with no success.
Servers are Win 2003 SP1, I have planified an upgrade to SP2 in two days. Keep you posted if the issue is still there.

I'm running Win 2003 Ent R2 SP2. Everything I find relating to this error message is meant for NT4, nothing for 2003. I suppose you've tried to restart the service, that was my next step due to the NT4 errors referring to a reg key 32kb max buffer size (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;175529). I only have 400 clients, on a very small network, but I am running WINS on my server.

I have the problem on two dhcp servers with no Wins. There are hundreds of scopes defined, and it takes some approbations before we can restart the service, which should occur this thursday evening :)
