Hi everyone,

I have a Joomla site running with a virtuemart shop. All is working fine apart from the fact that I tested the shop from a pc running Internet Explorer 7.0.5730 and I got an:

"Stack overflow error" when the Buy page is loading and when the user clicks in add to cart also gives error and the product is not added to Cart!

As far as I could test I'm getting this error in all Internet Explorers at least with version 7.0.5730. I know that about a week ago this error didn't appear.

You can check the error at:
http://www.kiddo-safety.com/index.php/buy.html

Any help??

Thanks in advance,
João Campos

The error is also occuring in IE 6.0.2900 as well.

Which version of PHP and MySQL DB are you running? Also, which modules do you also have loaded/running as well for the site?

What platform is the website operating under -- Windows or Linux? The reason I ask is that some Windows/PHP environments encounter problems with scripts that take higher limits of CPU loads, thus can't release memory correctly thus causing stack overflow issues.

Hi there,

First of all can you see and use the site in IE 6?? 'Cause in my pc I can't use the website in IE 6. The CSS just goes wrong.

Anyway, I have PHP 5 and mysql 5 (i think). The server is Unix and I'm positive virtueMart was working rather fine.

Also if you test with chrome or firefox all is fine.

Don't know if it can make a difference but I have my domain limits a bit high but I don't think my hosting provider is limiting my account.

what can I do to? any suggestion?

Thanks

CalmSoul thanks for the reply.

Yes. I'm using sh404sef but I was there before and virtueMart worked fine!

Under Tamper Data, I noticed that there are two Javascripts and a PHP file taking longer than necessary to run (extended 'pending' states), thus might be causing the problems.

mwecomputers,

thanks for that info. but I'm not sure how can I use it... That isn't normal right? What do you think it's causing that? Any indication of how to solve it?

Thanks so much,

Well I followed those threads but the problem remained...

Anyway I unpublished the Modalizer module and it all got back to normal! My only problem now is how to make a popup apppear when I click in a link but that's a whole other story and I think I'll encourage the Modalizer creator to improve it!

Thanks very much for all your answers.
