I'm looking to invest in a NAS for my network. Ultimately i'm looking to have a gigabit network throughout my house. I want to host vmware images on my NAS and boot into it from my PC. What do you recommend for this and will a NAS be able to provide the speed i need? <br />
<br />
I'd also like to host movie/audio files on the NAS and be able to stream them to my TV/PC without having to physically connect a hdmi or dvi cable to the device. <br />

I'm looking into the Thecus line of products.<br />

Computer data storage, often called storage or memory, is a technology consisting of computer components and recording media used to retain digital data.
