Has anyone ever applied an Oracle 10g\11g CPU (Critical Patch Update) on an Oracle database and then started to experience "ORA-02291: integrity constraint" errors?
I have talked to Oracle on this but would like to hear if anyone else in the industry has experienced this.
Thanks,
Michael

I have applied a couple of CPUs on 9i and 10g databases but never faced this issue. At which stage you are getting this error? while applying catcpu.sql/catbundle.sql or ?

Fayyaz,
Thanks for the response. We got this well after the application of the last CPU. Perhaps 24 hours or more.
I should mention that Oracle feels overwhelmingly that it is not caused by the CPU and have communicated that they have no record of any CPU causing this.
So far I am having great trouble in finding anyone that has experienced this error as a direct (or indirect) result of the application of a CPU. I am just looking to determine the facts on this matter.
Thanks,
Michael

As it stands no one seem to be able to confirm a single instance of an "ORA-02291: integrity constraint" error being caused directly or indirectly from the application of an Oracle CPU (Critical Patch Update).
If someone needs to search on the criteria of "CPU and ORA-02291" it would be useful to know that the question was posed at one time and what the response was.
This is a topic that needs as much factual evidence associated with it as possible. For many, having it posted on this medium and seeing a lack of responses may help clarify where the problem actually is by ruling out where it is not.
I'd say in most posts this is not a major factor but on this one it can be significant. If you need more information or would like to discuss it in greater detail please let me know.
