Arioh is correct in saying that it is a fat32 issue. Make sure you external hdd is ntfs as most external hdd's come in fat32 and not ntfs. I had a similar issue using a piece of software called ShadowProtect and whenever it made images to my external hdd it split them up because it was in fat32

I have 10 GB free space on my computer.<br />
The problem right now is that I cannot format my external drive to NTFS because I already have too much on it, but I'm going to buy another one and format that one. Thank you all!<br />
Just a remark... What kind a message is that: &quot;Not enough free disk space&quot;, a multi-billion company like Microsoft cannot even get their error messages right? It is very confusing for someone who is not a Windows expert...
