Correct regex for an email check in javascript

I am currently using the attach regex for an email check.

But this does not allow for email address is in the following format:
bob.jones-whitakker@host.com

This has been fine up until now, but someone has just tried to register with a similar email address, showing the problem.

Please advise and thanks in advance!

/^([\w\-]+\.)*\w+@([\w\-]+\.)+[A-Za-z]+$/

You don't have to award points for this, since I'm not technically answering your question, but the below link is really worth a look for email validation. You may even decide to replace your regex with one of these:
