Can I send a message to all Win2k domain users prior to a server restart?
Hello,
I'd like to restart our Win2K file share machine and I would like to send a message to all domain users that the shutdown is imminent. I know that using the Shutdown.exe or PsShutdown gives the option to notify the local user, but I'd like to hit all logged in machines in the domain.
Thanks,

Sure, you can always use the NET SEND [DOMAIN] MESSAGE

True if you have messenger disabled you will need to enable it via Group Policy first before using a NET SEND
ASKER
Worked pretty well. It seemed to take a long time to deliver each message, but it worked.
