It's Dameware NT Utilties. You can even use it to remotely control each client computer on the network. It allows you to add/remove users on your domain controller. Remote shutdown etc. Very good product.

How would I get this to work automatically?<br />

I have played with the Dameware trial, and it doesn't give me ways of scheduling these action, nor does it configure the reg to allow for auto login

I leave comuters on, as HDD life (&amp; data) is more important than power saved &amp;<br />
you may save more money leaving them on as power used vs HDD stress is worth consideration unless heat is an issue. (my PC has been on 4 years &amp;&nbsp;HDD still perfect: &nbsp;HDD's life is more associated with times started than time spinning.) <br />
So, I dont use dameware.<br />

I have about 80 students computers, that I would like to startup, login, and shutdown at a certain time. These computers are located on a domain<br />

Has anyone come across 3rd party tools that can do this.<br />

I know I can use task manager to do the shutdown at a certain time. I know i can edit the reg to allow the auto login, and I know I can use wake on lan to start the computer, but I am lookign for a total package. Open source if possible.<br />
