If so then they should be able to talk to each other by default as long as there are not any ACL's in place that would block the traffic. By default a layer 3 switch will act as a router in that situation.

I'm sorry...I should have explained the situation a little better. &nbsp;I'm new to configuring switches, so I'm going to need a step by step. &nbsp;The switch in question is a Cisco 3750 and already setup with multiple vlans. &nbsp;I need to setup connectivity between 2 different networks. &nbsp;I'm only concerned with establishing comms between these 2 networks, not with the other vlans (not yet anyway).<br />

Example: &nbsp;<br />
Network 1: &nbsp;IP--10.10.0.0/16 &nbsp;<br />
Network 2: &nbsp;IP--192.168.0.0/24<br />

you ewill create the 2 VLAN's and create 2 SVI's (ex int vlan 50 and int vlan 60). Then you can implement access list under the SVI inteface<br />

access-group 101 in<br />
<br />
access-list 101 permit ip 10.10.0.0 0.0.255.255 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.255<br />

The implicit deny statement in the access-list will take care of blocking the rest of the traffic
